This loveable stuffed bear goes on an adventure through a shopping store.  He goes out to try to find his missing button.  This demonstrates for students how what we think we need to be loved and appreciated is not something we can find around us. This can also be used to demonstrate how imperfections are a part of life.

The book is a cute little book about the adventure that can take place if you just give a mouse a cookie.  As a teacher, the book can be used to help students with their sequencing.  As the book is has a order it makes it easy to follow.

Simple easy read. It admires the diversity that we have in today's families.  Love is something that reaches all level of the family.  This book is a great book to introduce to your class to help children to have empathy for their peers.  This is one of my must-read books in class.

The book is one that speaks to a large problem in society today, bullying.  It teaches children that it is wrong to bully and what to do if they encounter bullying them self.  One aspect of this book that stands out from other books is that it focuses on the bystanders.  I would share this book with my students to encourage standing up to bullies and be proactive.

The Berenstain Bears collection is fun to read.  They are something that has stood the test of time being so relatable for today readers.  This book is great to read in class to illustrate safety for your students.  The book can give examples for why you should be safe while playing with friend out of the playground or just at home.

Sal loves to pick blueberries.  She counts her blueberries as she puts them in her bucket. One day she wanders off and finds herself following a bear.  This book one that I would use in a math activity in my classroom so the students can count out blueberries as Sal did.

This book is about one city that gives up a child once a year to the woman in the woods.  The woman in the woods does not understand why they give her the child. She takes the child to the another city where they are expecting children.  This is a great chapter book that can be used as a compare/contrast of the two main plot locations.

The book is fun to read with children. It is about a caterpillar that likes to eat food that it comes along.  The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a great book for teachers to reinforce math as well as sequencing.

This twist to the classic Three Little Pigs gives a fresh new look at this fairy tale.  The book provides the story in a different viewpoint, through the eyes of the wolf.  This book is a great way to introduce creative writing to your classroom.  Allowing students to give their very own twist to their favourite fairy tales.

The book is about the dog that finds itself in the life of a wonderful young girl.  She soon finds out that Winn-Dixie is slowly changing her life by giving her confidence.  A teacher can use this book in the classroom during whole class read along.  Students can take notes and character development.

The Rainbow Fish is a great book that focuses on a fish.  This fish has to learn how to share with her friends.  This is a great book to teach your students that same lesson by small group activities.

This was my first book read growing up.  It about a boy with a full imagination that goes on an adventure.  I meet come great friends that area also wild things.  This book is a great tool to use if challenge kids to be creative their writing.

This book is just one in a collection of Pete the Cat.  The books are a great way to promote healthy reading for children in kindergarten.  Great book to have in a reading corner for free read.

Birchbark House is a book that follows the life of a young female Native American.  A coming of age book that is sure to touch your heart.  It also brings to light the early interaction between Native Americans and the colonists.  This read is great to bring into the classroom if you are talking about people, Native Americans, or even cultural diversity.

This collection of fairy tales is great from Rapunzel to Cinderella.  The Grimm collection allows for teachers ti use the stories for character development and setting comparison.

This is a great fun book.  The book is a classic of Dr. Seuss collection.  The book makes It is a fun way to introduce rhyming and sequencing to the class.
